Manchester City have reportedly suffered a blow in their long-running pursuit of Julian Weigl as Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel worked with the 23-year-old at the Westfalenstadion before leaving the club in 2017 and joining PSG a year later.
France Football claims that a reunion could be on the cards as Tuchel is willing to match Dortmund's valuation.
Man City are believed to be admirers of the five-cap Germany international, who they see as a replacement for the ageing Fernandinho.
Weigl has fallen out of favour under Lucien Favre and is seeking a move away, and his reduced playing time is rumoured to have seen his asking price plummet to £22m.
