Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms that Amad Diallo trained with the first team on Friday morning.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Amad Diallo trained with the first team on Friday morning, with the attacker recovering from a thigh problem.

The 19-year-old is yet to represent the Red Devils this term due to a muscular issue, but Solskjaer said last month that the Ivorian could return after the international break.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City, the Man United manager revealed that the teenager had been "on the grass" at the training ground on Friday.

Amad officially joined the 20-time English champions from Atalanta BC in January and made eight appearances in the second half of last season, scoring once and providing one assist.

The attacker came close to joining Feyenoord on loan over the summer, only for his injury to scupper his chances of moving to the Dutch outfit.

However, both the player and Man United are believed to be open to the idea of a loan move taking place during the winter window.
