Juan Pablo Angel: Radamel Falcao must "reinvent his game"

Juan Pablo Angel backs Radamel Falcao to score plenty of goals in the Premier League, just as long as he is able to "reinvent his game".

Aston Villa's former Colombian striker Juan Pablo Angel has encouraged his compatriot Radamel Falcao to "reinvent his game" if he is to be a success in the Premier League.

Falcao, who is currently coming towards the end of his season-long loan stint with Manchester United from Monaco, has only managed to score four goals in his 20 outings this term.

Such form has resulted in doubts over his chances of earning a permanent contract at Old Trafford, with one report in France having suggested that Louis van Gaal has in fact decided against signing the 29-year-old.

However, Angel believes that Falcao can produce the goods in England just as soon as he adapts his style and fully recovers from the knee injury that he suffered last year.

"He needs to reinvent his game to be able to perform at his best there. That league is very different to those in which he's played before," he told the official FIFA website.

"That's why he also needs to completely recover from his injury and get into the best possible physical shape. After that, there's a natural process of adaption, in which some people take more time than others, but he'll definitely get there in the end."

Angel scored 62 goals during his seven-year stint with Villa.
