Ryan Giggs is reportedly keen to be included in Jose Mourinho's coaching setup at Manchester United.
Widespread speculation has claimed that despite guiding the club to FA Cup success yesterday evening, current boss Louis van Gaal will be relieved of his duties and replaced by Mourinho over the coming days.
Forty-two-year-old Giggs has been Van Gaal's assistant during the last two seasons and he was also a player-coach during David Moyes's ill-fated tenure.
There had been suggestions that the Welshman had his eye on Van Gaal's job and if he was overlooked, he would end an almost 30-year association with the Red Devils.
However, the Daily Mail states that Giggs is hopeful that the incoming Mourinho will look to benefit from his extensive knowledge of the club.
The report adds that the former winger is popular among the playing squad at Old Trafford, who are keen for him to be retained.
