Sacked Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho leaves Lowry Hotel

Jose Mourinho makes his exit from the Lowry Hotel - where he has stayed for 895 days - after being sacked as manager of Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has left the Lowry Hotel after being sacked as manager of Manchester United.

Mourinho was appointed as boss of the Premier League giants in 2016, but the Portuguese opted to stay at the North-West hotel rather than purchase a house in the area.

The 55-year-old has spent 895 days in one of the hotel's suites, but the former Chelsea and Real Madrid man was seen saying his goodbyes to staff shortly after he had been relieved of his duties.

According to The Mirror, Mourinho said that he was "okay my friend" when asked how he was feeling after United had made their decision.

Mourinho has left United with the club sitting in sixth place in the standings and 11 points adrift of a spot in the top four.
