Manchester City youth winger Luca Barrington has been named in The Guardian's 'Next Generation 2021' list, recognising the Premier League's best talents from all 20 clubs.

This list exclusively created by The Guardian includes one first-year scholar from every English top-flight club who was born between September 1, 2004 and August 31, 2005.

Barrington has caught the eye with City's Under-18's squad so far this campaign, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five Premier League matches.

Describing the winger, Jamie Jackson, a Manchester football correspondent for The Guardian, said that the 16-year-old hopes to emulate the rise of Phil Foden and break into the senior side.

Other notable additions on this year's list include Liverpool's Kaide Gordon, Manchester United's Ethan Ennis and Chelsea's Zain Silcott-Duberry.

Current Premier League stars including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have all previously featured on the list, which began in 2014.
