Members of the Manchester United squad privately question Harry Maguire's continued selection in the team, according to a report.

Members of the Manchester United squad have reportedly privately questioned Harry Maguire's continued selection in the team amid his struggles this season.

The 28-year-old has found it difficult to show his best form for the Red Devils this term, which has led to criticism from fans, pundits and former Man United players.

According to The Times, members of the first-team squad at Old Trafford have 'aired their grievances' at the club's training ground, with some players believing that his performances have dropped below the standards expected by the 20-time English champions.

Maguire has made 28 appearances for Man United during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing two goals in the process, and he will captain the team for the remainder of the season despite recent reports.

The England international dropped down to the bench for last weekend's Premier League clash with Watford but is expected to be back in the side against Manchester City on Sunday.

Former Man United defender Paul Parker has said that Ralf Rangnick's side should attempt to sell the former Sheffield United youngster during this summer's transfer window.
