Marcus Rashford hoping to emulate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford picks out Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney as the two best players he has played alongside.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has highlighted Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney as the two best players he has played alongside.

Rooney recently equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's long-standing goalscoring record for United, reaching the 249 mark during the 4-0 FA Cup victory over Reading earlier this month.

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has scored 19 goals in all competitions since joining United on a free transfer last summer, and Rashford believes that the Swede's experience is "invaluable" to the young players at the club.

"For the young players to see his character and the way he approaches every game is invaluable. Some players can't bring that when they move clubs," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We have to try to learn from him while he is here and take what we can from his game. Zlatan and Rooney are the two that stand out.

"I grew up watching Rooney play week in, week out at Old Trafford, so those are the two that you look at and try to emulate."

Rashford has scored three goals in 16 Premier League appearances for United this season.
