Alexis Sanchez 'would have to take huge pay cut to join Inter Milan'

Alexis Sanchez will reportedly be forced to accept a huge pay cut if he joins Inter Milan from Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez would reportedly be forced to accept a huge pay cut if he was to join Inter Milan.

The former Arsenal star has scored just five goals since his move to Old Trafford and the United hierarchy are believed to be keen to shift the Chilean's massive £560,000-per-week wages.

However, few teams in world football could afford to pay Sanchez's current salary and Inter, who are interested in securing his signature, would pay him £9m less per season than what he is earning now, according to the Daily Mail.

Having missed out on Roma striker Edin Dzeko, who has now signed a new deal with the capital club, Antonio Conte is considering offering Sanchez a return to Serie A - where he previously plied his trade with Udinese - and the opportunity to revitalise his career.

Inter would be willing to offer around £20m for Sanchez and, should he make the move to Italy, he would have the chance to play up front with former United teammate Romelu Lukaku, who also swapped Manchester for Milan this summer.
