Marcos Alonso's proposed move to Barcelona from Chelsea is reportedly on hold due to a standoff involving Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutch midfielder has been targeted by Manchester United throughout the summer, but Chelsea have since entered the race for the 25-year-old.
While De Jong has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, Marcos Alonso was expected to sign for Barcelona this week.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Alonso's move to the Catalan giants has stalled due to De Jong's future at the club currently being unresolved.
The report indicates that Chelsea want to include the left-back in a £67m offer for the Netherlands international, who has been told that he will need to agree to a pay cut if he stays with Barcelona.
However, De Jong is yet to approve the move to Stamford Bridge which has held up Alonso's transfer to the La Liga club.
The left-back is still expected to complete his move even if De Jong decides to remain with Barcelona.
