Mario Gotze: 'Marco Reus wants to move to Manchester United'

Mario Gotze claims that his former teammate Marco Reus is eager to move to Manchester United.

Mario Gotze has claimed that former Borussia Dortmund teammate Marco Reus is keen to move to Manchester United.

Reports on Wednesday suggested that David Moyes is interested in signing the 24-year-old as he prepares to make a number of changes to his squad at the end of a difficult first season in charge.

Gotze, who left Dortmund to join Bayern Munich last summer, insists that Reus was targeting a transfer to Old Trafford while the duo played together last season.

"When I was at Borussia, Marco wanted a move to Manchester United. This hasn't changed," Gotze is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

Reus joined Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2012.
