Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz will reportedly make it clear to his German club this week that he wants to join Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.
The 21-year-old's future remains the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in signing the Germany international ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Chelsea appear to be at the head of the queue for the attacker, though, with Havertz thought to be keen to join Frank Lampard's side over the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.
According to Bild, Leverkusen are due back in training on Thursday, and Havertz will signal that he wants to join the Blues this summer when the two parties are reunited.
The Premier League club are allegedly waiting to make sure of a Champions League spot for the 2020-21 campaign before launching an official bid for the youngster.
Havertz enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Leverkusen, scoring 17 times and registering nine assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea have already boosted their attack ahead of next season with the signings of Moroccan attacker Hakim Ziyech and German striker Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.
