Sporting director Rudi Voller suggests that Kai Havertz can only leave Bayer Leverkusen if "certain conditions" are met by Chelsea or another interested club.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has suggested that Chelsea are yet to reach an agreement for the signing of Kai Havertz.

The Blues have long been regarded as the frontrunners for the playmaker, who is being tipped to move to a bigger club this summer.

However, as the Bundesliga side allegedly stick to a valuation of £90m, it appears that they are in little rush to cash in on their key man.

Speaking to Kicker, Voller said: "No decision has been made yet. I'd like to repeat myself by emphasising that we're talking about a wonderful footballer.

"There is nothing new in this regard. We have a clear and mutual agreement with him and his representatives that he can only leave under certain conditions. Otherwise he will stay."

Chelsea, or outsiders Manchester United, may only be prepared to meet Leverkusen's asking price if the fee can be paid in several instalments.
