Manchester United to launch bid for Marquinhos in coming days?

Manchester United will reportedly launch a bid for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos in the coming days.

Manchester United are reportedly keen to make Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos their first signing of the January window.

The Premier League giants are expected to hand manager Louis van Gaal a substantial sum to spend in the first transfer window of the year.

The Red Devils have had an inconsistent season so far as they ended a run of eight games without a win by sealing a 2-1 triumph over Swansea City on Saturday.

According to Fichajes, United will try to strengthen their defence by tabling a bid for Marquinhos in the coming days.

The defender has had to settle for a spot on the bench for most of the season in Ligue 1 as he has struggled to break up the partnership of David Luiz and Thiago Silva.
