Manchester United players are reportedly said to have been concerned by the club's transfer business over the summer.

Manchester United players were reportedly left feeling concerned by the club's transfer business over the summer.

The Red Devils completed the signings of Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire for a combined total of around £150m in the latest transfer window.

However, United's poor start to the season, which has left them two points above the relegation zone, has prompted many to criticise the club for not improving its midfield or attack.

According to The Athletic, the club's decision to dispense with and then fail to replace attacking duo Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez 'raised eyebrows' in the Old Trafford dressing room.

United also failed to secure replacements for midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, who both departed the club this year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chosen to pursue a transfer strategy that revolves around targeting young British players who can develop over a period of time at the club.
