Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Premier League rivals Manchester United.
A move for the 30-year-old Gabon international could be to replace Romelu Lukaku, who continues to be linked with an exit from Old Trafford.
Lukaku was left out of the United squad which faced Leeds United in a pre-season friendly earlier this week, heightening speculation surrounding a transfer to Inter Milan.
According to website FC Inter News, the Italian club are getting closer to meeting United's valuation of the player, with an offer of £60m plus £10m in add-ons being prepared.
The report suggests that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in bringing Aubameyang to the club as his potential replacement, with an offer of £62m believed to be on the table.
Arsenal, the report states, are trying to resist any offers for the striker, who scored 31 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners last season.
