Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly makes revamping his full-back positions one of his top priorities over the next two transfer windows.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly made overhauling the team's full-back positions one of his top priorities over the next two transfer windows.

Antonio Valencia has established himself as United's first-choice right-back in recent years, but the opposite side of the defence has been a bigger problem with the likes of Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind all failing to impress Mourinho in that position.

Ashley Young has been filling in at left-back in recent months, with his performances earning him a recall to the England squad, but Mourinho is still thought to be unhappy with his options on both sides of the defence.

United are reportedly open to offers for Shaw, Rojo and Blind over the next two transfer windows, and The Telegraph reports that the club will look to revamp that area of their team in the meantime.

The Red Devils have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose and Jordi Alba of Barcelona in an attempt to solve their left-back problems, while Ricardo Rodriguez, Alessandro Florenzi and Kieran Tierney have also been mentioned as possible targets.

Valencia and Young are not considered long-term solutions at full-back due to their age, with both turning 33 next summer.
