Vedat Muriqi agent: '0% chance of Manchester United deal'

The agent of Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi dismisses suggestions that the Kosovo international could join Manchester United in January.

Manchester United will not be signing Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi before the end of the January transfer window, according to the player's agent.

Due to their need to replace the injured Marcus Rashford, United have been heavily linked with an approach for Murqiri, who has netted 12 times in Turkey's top flight this season.

However, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is allegedly prepared to give the green light for a £20m bid to be made in the coming hours, representative Haluk Canatar has ruled out the possibility of the Kosovo international leaving his current club.

According to Turkish media, Canatar said: "Muriqi has a four-year contract agreement with Fenerbahce, we are of course delighted that some of the top clubs in Europe are interested in Muriqi and scouting him.

"But we are not considering a transfer in January there is a zero percent chance he leaves. We have been contacted by interested clubs I left these matters with Damien Comolli [ex-sporting director] and now with Selahattin Baki."

United are expected to pursue other targets ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.
