Report: Mats Hummels to leave Borussia Dortmund in January

Manchester United and Arsenal target Mats Hummels is reportedly heading for a January exit from Borussia Dortmund.

Mats Hummels will reportedly force a move away from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

The German international is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in European football, with Manchester United and Arsenal said to hold a strong interest in the World Cup winner.

It was initially thought that Hummels would not leave Germany until at least next summer, but according to The Express, Dortmund's poor form this season has led to the defender seeking an early exit.

As it stands, Dortmund are in the relegation zone in the Bundesliga having won just four of their 17 league games this season.

It is thought that Dortmund will not sell for less than £30m.
