Report: Sunderland boss David Moyes keen to sign Marouane Fellaini

New Sunderland manager David Moyes is reportedly keen to sign Marouane Fellaini from Manchester United.

New Sunderland manager David Moyes is reportedly keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Scottish coach took Fellaini with him to Old Trafford from Everton when he was appointed as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor in 2013.

The Belgium international cost United £27.5m, but he failed to land a regular spot in the first team, and it is uncertain whether he has a future under current manager Jose Mourinho.

Moyes, who lasted just 10 months in charge of the Red Devils, was named as Sunderland's new boss last weekend, 24 hours after Sam Allardyce left his role to take on the England job.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Moyes wants Fellaini to join him at the Stadium of Light, and he could get his way if a £13m bid is tabled by the Black Cats.

Fellaini is due to return to training this week after being given an extended break following his participation at Euro 2016.
