Tottenham Hotspur submit an official bid for Metz teenager Pape Sarr, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted an official bid for Pape Sarr, as Nuno Espirito Santo's side attempt to win the race for the in-demand Metz midfielder.

The 18-year-old has made 30 appearances for his French club in all competitions since arriving from Senegal Premier League side Generation Foot last September.

A number of clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, have been credited with an interest in Sarr, who still has four years left to run on his contract with Metz.

However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have moved into pole position, with the North London club submitting an official bid for his services.

Romano claims that negotiations are now progressing between the two parties, and the youngster could potentially spend the 2021-22 campaign on loan with Metz before arriving next summer.

Sarr has already made two appearances at club level during the current season, featuring in the league clashes with Lille and Nantes.
