Former Liverpool youth player Jon Otsemobor has parted company with League One side MK Dons by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old defender, who returned from a spell on loan at Tranmere Rovers on Monday, has been released due to financial constraints.
"I'd like to publicly thank Jon for his efforts and endeavours while at the football club," manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website.
"We can't afford to carry three right-backs and we've got Lee [Hodson] and George [Baldock] who are younger, fresher and part of the long-term development of the club. The future lies with those two and Semy understands that."
Otsemobor added: "I am disappointed to be leaving because, despite having been with a few teams in my career, MK Dons is one of the only clubs I've thoroughly enjoyed being at.
"There are some great lads here, the training is different and enjoyable and the fans have been brilliant too."
The right-back arrived at Stadium MK from Sheffield Wednesday in 2012.
