Edinson Cavani out to "wreck" Chelsea

Napoli frontman Edinson Cavani says that he wants to make things "far worse" for English clubs in the Champions League by beating Chelsea.

Napoli star striker Edinson Cavani has urged his team to destroy English football's reputation in the Champions League by defeating Chelsea tonight.

The two sides go head to head in Italy this evening with the Blues being the only English club likely to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

"This is a great chance for us to wreck English football," the Daily Star quotes Cavani as saying.

"They have such a reputation but this year they have failed and we intend to make things far worse for the English clubs by beating Chelsea.

"We do not fear Chelsea, so we are confident that we can eliminate the last English team. We are not suggesting that this will be easy, but, with the way we have been playing, we are very optimistic."

Meanwhile, Arsenal have damaged their chances of progressing in the tournament following a 4-0 defeat to AC Milan in the first leg of the round of 16 last week.
