Alessandro Nesta backs Napoli for Serie A title

Three-time Serie A winner Alessandro Nesta says that Napoli are the title favourites and are playing "spectacular football" under Maurizio Sarri.

Former Italy international and World Cup winner Alessandro Nesta has said that he believes Napoli will win the Serie A title this season.

The Partenopei have made a strong start to the campaign and will move to the top of the table if they beat Genoa in their league meeting at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris this afternoon.

"I like [Napoli coach Maurizio] Sarri, he's proposing the most spectacular football," Nesta told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Napoli against Fiorentina was fun.

"I said that Juventus would win the championship, but it looks like I was wrong. My ranking as of now is Napoli, Fiorentina, Roma and Inter Milan."

Nesta won the Serie A title three times during his career.
