Unai Emery responds to speculation linking him with the vacant Newcastle United job and a potential Premier League return.

Unai Emery has spoken out about the reports linking him with a return to the Premier League to manage Newcastle United.

The Magpies are looking to find a permanent manager following the departure of Steve Bruce and the current Villarreal boss is somebody who has been heavily speculated about.

Other names such as Eddie Howe, John Terry and Pedro Martins have also been rumoured to be under consideration by the new owners, but Emery has commented on the talk surrounding him.

"The truth is that I do not know anything," the former Arsenal boss told reporters.

Emery is currently under contract with Villarreal until 2023, with the Spanish outfit finding themselves 13th placed in La Liga at the moment, while Newcastle are currently 19th in the Premier League.
