Newcastle United centre-back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is reportedly on the verge of signing for Roma.
The Italian club's head coach Rudi Garcia has already bolstered his defensive options at the Stadio Olimpico by signing Kostas Manolas and Jose Holebras this summer.
However, 25-year-old Yanga-Mbiwa has been made a target, with talks between the two clubs at an advanced stage, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The report added that the Frenchman is preparing to travel to Rome later today, where he is expected to finalise an initial season-long loan switch.
