Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in talks over move to Chinese Super League?

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a move to the Chinese Super League.

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly held meetings with Chinese Super League bosses about a job.

The Portuguese coach has been out of work since getting sacked by the Premier League outfit in December.

There have been reports that Mourinho has agreed to take over at Manchester United when Louis van Gaal leaves Old Trafford.

However, according to The Mirror, Mourinho is considering a move to Asia to take up a role that would involve him offering advice on how to develop the sport in the country.

It is believed that Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes held a meeting with Zhang Dazhong, the chief executive of Chinese marketing company Alisports, in Shanghai last month.

The report adds that Mourinho would be allowed to leave his position should he choose to take a managerial job at a club in Europe.

The Chinese league has made some headlines of late as clubs have spent more than £90m on players, including former Chelsea midfielder Ramires, Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Alex Teixeira and Atletico Madrid's Jackson Martinez.
