Oldham Athletic have decided to make David Dunn their interim player-manager after the club sacked Darren Kelly yesterday.
Kelly was given his marching orders after the Latics lost 5-1 at home to managerless Peterborough United, which left the team a point above the relegation zone.
The 36-year-old lasted just nine matches in charge after being appointed back in May and Oldham confirmed that all the current coaching staff would remain at the club.
Dunn has played over 400 league games in his 18-year career and has started every game for Oldham since joining them in the summer.
