Paris Saint-Germain director-general Jean-Claude Blanc has reiterated that Italian midfielder Marco Verratti will not be sold this summer.
Blanc said that Napoli have enquired about the 20-year-old and, despite the reported discontent over his contract, is confident of tying down the player's future.
"[Napoli chairman] Aurelio De Laurentiis called me in the morning to find out if our position had changed seeing as, during the negotiations for Edinson Cavani, Napoli had asked us for Verratti as part of the deal," Blanc told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We, obviously, refused. Marco is not on the market. De Laurentiis knows that we keep our word and he respects the positions of others.
"Marco is under contract with us for another four years and we are not obliged to do anything. But we are pleased with his first season with us and we want to demonstrate our faith."
Verratti made 27 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season.
