Crystal Palace are believed to have agreed a fee for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Jordon Mutch.
Reports earlier on Wednesday claimed that talks between the two clubs were deadlocked as Rangers looked to recoup the £5.5m that they spent on Mutch last summer.
However, Sky Sports News reports that the Hoops have softened their stance and have accepted an offer from Palace in the region of £4.75m.
The Eagles are understood to have had an initial £4m bid rejected for the 23-year-old, who started four of QPR's first five Premier League games this season, but has struggled to regain his place in the team following a couple of injuries.
Mutch scored seven times in 35 appearances for Cardiff City last term in spite of their top-flight troubles.
