Report: Karim Benzema to be fit for Clasico

A report claims that Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema will be fit for El Clasico this weekend.

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is expected to be fit for El Clasico on Sunday evening despite suffering a thigh injury in Saturday's 1-0 win over Malaga.

The French forward was withdrawn in the first period at La Rosaleda and it had been feared that the injury would keep him out of the clash with Barcelona at the Bernabeu next weekend.

However, according to Marca, Los Blancos will be able to call upon the services of the striker, who missed training on Monday morning, for the top-of-the-table clash.

The 26-year-old is not expected to feature in Madrid's last-16 Champions League second leg against Schalke 04 on Tuesday.
