Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti reveals Gareth Bale will be rested for Eibar match

Carlo Ancelotti confirms that Gareth Bale will be rested for Saturday's match against Eibar at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Gareth Bale will be rested for this Saturday's La Liga match against Eibar.

The Wales international, who has struggled to keep the supporters happy of late, will not be part of the team as the side try to keep pressure on league leaders Barcelona.

Ancelotti confirmed the team news in today's press conference, and the Italian will also be without Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez, both of whom are suspended.

Cristiano Ronaldo was expected to miss this game due to an automatic one-match ban for picking up five yellow cards this season, but the Ballon d'Or winner's booking for simulation against Rayo Vallecano was rescinded today.
