Gerard Pique returns to training

Gerard Pique returns to training for Barcelona following an ankle injury.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is expected to be fit for Sunday's Clasico against Real Madrid after returning to first-team training with the Spanish champions.

The centre-back, who has been struggling with an ankle injury, missed the 7-0 win over Osasuna at the Camp Nou on Sunday afternoon.

However, the former Manchester United defender was present during a session with the Spanish champions on Monday morning, fuelling suggestions that he could make the Clasico.

Barcelona will enter the match four points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
