Crawley Town keep hold of top spot with a victory at AFC Wimbledon, while Aldershot Town put five past Dagenham & Redbridge.

Crawley Town maintained their grip on the top spot with a 5-2 victory away at fellow promoted club AFC Wimbledon.

Dannie Bulman scored twice for the visitors, while further goals from Chris Brush (og), Claude Davis and Matt Tubbs sealed the win for Steve Evans' side.

The Dons' goals came from Davis (og) and striker Jack Midson.

Two points behind Crawley in second place are Southend United, who eased past Torquay United at Roots Hall.

Goals from Liam Dickinson and Mark Phillips accompanied a brace from Kane Ferdinand for the home side. In reply the Seagulls claimed a consolation courtesy of Lee Mansell.

Morecambe moved up to fourth in the table with a comfortable win away at Port Vale. Jason Price and Lewis Alessandra put the away side two goals up before the break, while Laurence Wilson and Andrew Fleming completed the rout late in the match.

Dean Holdsworth's Aldershot warmed up for the League Cup visit of Manchester United on Tuesday evening by putting five past Dagenham & Redbridge.

Jermaine McGlashan (2), Peter Vincenti, Michael Rankine and Luke Guttridge all got their names on the score-sheet for the Shots.

The hosting Daggers, whose poor league form continues, scored two goals via Jon Nurse and Damien McCrory.
