Rudi Garcia disappointed with Roma performance

Rudi Garcia says that Roma must remain united in order to bounce back from their recent loss of form.

Roma manager Rudi Garcia has admitted that his side "did not put in a good performance" as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Atalanta BC this afternoon.

The Giallorossi could have returned to the top of the Serie A table with a victory, but goals from Alejandro Gomez and German Denis saw them lose for the first time at home this season.

The result comes in the wake of their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona in the Champions League, but Garcia has backed his team to recover from their recent "blip".

"It's only right to recognise we did not put in a good performance and didn't show the spirit of conquest we had asked for before the game," Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.

"Instead of pressing Atalanta, we allowed them to play at their tempo. There's little to save from this afternoon.

"From tomorrow we have to be united, cohesive and prove that this moment is only a passing blip."

Roma will return to Serie A action with a trip to Torino next Saturday.
