Sheffield United's Jose Baxter has been announced as one of the four nominees for December's Player of the Month in League One.
The Blade is joined by Walsall's Paul Downing, Stephen Gleeson of MK Dons and Brentford's Sam Saunders in being nominated.
Baxter was part of a Sheffield United side that went unbeaten in December and he scored in three of their four games, including a 30-yard scorcher against former club Oldham Athletic.
Downing's passing and reading of the game at the back were instrumental as playoff-chasing Walsall conceded just three goals in the final month of 2013.
Gleeson found the net twice with two goals as MK Dons won all three December games that the energetic midfielder featured in.
Finally, Brentford winger Saunders provided three assists and two goals for the league leaders as their rampant form continued with four straight victories in December.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
