Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling claims that referee Jon Moss made 'disgraceful' comments about their form during the match against Sheffield United.

Bournemouth's Dan Gosling has slammed referee Jon Moss for 'disgraceful' comments about the Cherries' Premier League form.

Moss officiated the game between Eddie Howe's side and Sheffield United on Sunday, as the Blades condemned Bournemouth to their 11th defeat in 15 games at Bramall Lane.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo, Gosling said: "The ref didn't help. Giving soft fouls away and little comments to two or three of the lads didn't help as well really.

"I thought it was very disrespectful what he was saying. It was just the little niggly ones and then the little sarky comments. I thought he was a disgrace. The comments that he made especially to me and one other player - talking about the relegation zone and 'you're having one' and this and that was very, very disrespectful.

"The officials talk about respect at the start of the season and there was zero respect from Jon Moss on Sunday. I think he should come out and apologise because I thought he was a disgrace."

Bournemouth's poor form has seen Eddie Howe's side plunge to 16th in the table, only two points above the relegation zone.
