Newly-promoted Premier League outfit Sheffield United have reportedly opened talks with Brentford over the potential signing of French striker Neal Maupay.
The 22-year-old scored 25 goals from 43 appearances in the Championship for The Bees during the 2018-19 season.
A report in the Daily Mail suggests that Brentford are looking for a fee of around £16.5m for the attacker.
The Blades are looking to further strengthen their attacking options after last week adding winger Luke Freeman to their squad from Queens Park Rangers.
The report states that Burnley and fellow Premier League new-boys Aston Villa are also showing an interest in the former France Under-21 international.
