Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino calls for more respect from his Premier League rivals following recent comments from Antonio Conte about the club's ambitions.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has called on his Premier League rivals to show more respect after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte recently questioned his side's ambitions.

Spurs have improved emphatically under Pochettino in recent years, arguably producing the most watchable football last season, but are still yet to win silverware since their League Cup triumph in 2008.

"I am not a manager who likes to speak about another club, another manager," Pochettino told reporters.

"I like to show respect. I expect the same from the people who compete with us.

"For different clubs who have spent a lot of money, the expectation and pressure is massive. For us it is the same. It is our own pressure and ambition."

Tottenham get their new Premier League campaign underway against Newcastle United on August 13.
