Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino singles Son Heung-min out for praise following his side's 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has heaped praise on Son Heung-min after watching the South Korean score both goals in his side's 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.

The Spurs boss hailed the forward's consistency and said that the result will help his team fulfil their ambitions of a top-four finish this term.

"Son's performances have been consistent and he is helping the team to achieve. Three points today means we're in a very good position in the table," BBC Sport quotes Pochettino as saying.

"There is a long way to go until the end of the season. We are going to fight to take our place in the top four.

"I was pleased with the performance, we deserved the three points. It is never easy to play Premier League games and today was tough.

"It's not easy to play Huddersfield because you can't play the tempo you want. At half-time, we fixed the situation and we dominated. We needed to be clinical, we had a lot of chances."

The result saw Spurs climb to third place in the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool's meeting with Newcastle United, while Huddersfield are down in 16th.
