Danny Rose: 'Late comebacks are not a coincidence'

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose insists that scoring late goals is not a coincidence following the 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

Danny Rose has claimed that there is no luck involved in Tottenham Hotspur's run of claiming points late in Premier League games.

Spurs fought back from two goals behind to earn a 2-2 draw with West Ham United at White Hart Lane on Sunday, and Rose was quick to praise the team's approach to the closing stages as Mauricio Pochettino's side avoided a potentially damaging defeat in the battle for a place in the top four.

"We started ok but made individual errors - it's unlike us. We were disappointed to go two down, but to get a point from there is good," Rose, who scored his side's first before Harry Kane's equaliser in stoppage time, told the club's official website.

"It's no coincidence that we get late goals. We don't want to be in that position but it's credit to the lads."

Spurs have claimed 13 points with goals scored later than the 85th minute this season.
