Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale has reportedly agreed a deal to return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The 32-year-old originally left Spurs to join Real Madrid in 2013, and he returned to the North London club on loan for the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 16 times in all competitions.
Bale's lucrative contract at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and there have been suggestions that the Wales international could retire from club football.
However, according to El Nacional, the attacker has agreed to return to Tottenham later this year, with the two parties settling on a contract 'three months ago'.
Bale has only made three appearances for Real Madrid during the 2021-22 campaign, with his last outing for Carlo Ancelotti's side coming against Real Betis in La Liga last August.
The Welshman has been unavailable for long stages of the season due to injury and COVID-19, but he has been an unused substitute for the team's last two league games against Elche and Granada.
