Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho could have £135m to spend on new players this summer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho could reportedly have as much as €145m (£135m) to spend on new players during this summer's transfer window.

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino as head coach of Spurs in November, and the Portuguese has had an indifferent time at the helm, winning 11 but losing nine of his 26 matches in charge.

The capital side face the possibility of missing out on Champions League football for the 2020-21 campaign as they are currently eighth in the Premier League table, seven points off the top four.

However, according to Bild, Mourinho could be handed €145m (£135m) to spend on new players this summer with RB Leipzig's Marcel Sabitzer a leading target.

Sabitzer - also linked with Arsenal - has been in impressive form for his German side this season, scoring 15 times and contributing eight assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

The 26-year-old also netted twice in Leipzig's 3-0 win over Tottenham in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash earlier this month.
