Stoke City manager Mark Hughes reveals that the club's backline are still blighted by injuries ahead of the Premier League fixture with Southampton.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that both Bruno Martins Indi and Kevin Wimmer are likely to be missing from the squad to face Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Last weekend, Martins Indi was Stoke's only fit centre-back as they succumbed to a 4-0 defeat to Chelsea, but the Dutchman is now set for a spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.

Kurt Zouma is available again after being ineligible to face his parent club, while Geoff Cameron could also feature, but Hughes has acknowledged that the Potters are still struggling at the back ahead of the clash with the Saints.

The 53-year-old told reporters: "Bruno Martins Indi is likely to be out for two or three weeks with a groin injury.

"Geoff Cameron is the only injured defender we are hopeful of returning. Kurt Zouma comes back though after being ineligible last week.

"Kevin Wimmer has not trained all week, but we will have a look at him, just in case he can be involved tomorrow."

Club captain Ryan Shawcross is also likely to miss out with a back problem.
