Two Premier League clubs are said to be interested in signing former Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles, who has three years remaining on his current contract at Fenerbahce.

Two Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles.

The Portuguese international, 30, has three years remaining on his current contract at Fenerbahce, where he arrived from Chelsea in an £8m deal in September 2012.

However, Meireles is understood to be unsettled in Istanbul and, according to the Daily Mail, this news has alerted both Sunderland and Fulham.

Meireles started 22 games in the Turkish Super Lig last season. He also made eight starts in the Europa League.
