Ben Davies: 'I never doubted Aaron Ramsey ability'

Swansea City defender Ben Davies insists that Aaron Ramsey's return to form has not come as a surprise to any of his Welsh teammates.

Swansea City defender Ben Davies has insisted that there was never any doubt that Aaron Ramsey would recapture his best form for Arsenal.

Ramsey has netted seven goals in eight appearances to help Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table, and Davies is hopeful that he can continue that form for Wales.

The 20-year-old told the South Wales Evening Post: "Everyone has seen how good he has been this season. The Welsh boys have never had any doubts that he was the player he is showing he is right now.

"We're pretty confident as a Welsh camp that he can produce that form for us. If he can keep it going for Arsenal, then there's no reason why he won't.

"He's a massive player for Wales. He brings a lot to our games. He'll be a big player for us if he can show the form that he has shown for Arsenal."

Ramsey is a fitness doubt ahead of the clash between the two sides at the Liberty Stadium.
