Garry Monk blasts Victor Moses following controversial penalty

Swansea City boss Garry Monk reveals his anger after a controversial penalty helped Stoke City beat his team in the Premier League this afternoon.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has claimed that his side were "cheated" in Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Stoke City.

The Welsh outfit took the lead in the Premier League clash, but were pegged back in the latter stages of the first period, before Jonathan Walters won it for the home side late on.

Monk was particularly aggrieved about referee Michael Oliver's decision to award Stoke a penalty when Victor Moses went down inside the box under very little contact from Angel Rangel.

"Today was an absolute disgusting decision from the referee. Victor Moses should be done for diving, he cheated us," Monk told Sky Sports News after the match.

"It's happening week after week and it's always against us. I contacted referee's chief Mike Riley but haven't heard anything and I think that's very poor leadership from him. This is the highest level and if they can't perform at this level they shouldn't be there.

"I looked straight at the Stoke bench and even they couldn't believe. That tells you everything."

Monk's comments could land him in trouble with the Football Association.
