Valencia, Getafe reported for altercation

Reports could claim that Valencia and Getafe could face a fine following a post-match altercation on Sunday evening.

Valencia and Getafe could reportedly face a fine following a post-match altercation on Sunday evening.

Getafe were 3-1 winners over the former Spanish champions at the Mestalla in what was an ill-tempered affair.

Spanish official Gil Manzano dismissed Valencia defender Jeremy Mathieu in the latter stages following an incident with Pedro Leon, which led to a scuffle between both benches.

According to reports in Spain, Manzano documented that tensions continued to rise in the tunnel after the match, with objects believed to have been thrown.

The result moved Getafe out of the drop zone in La Liga, while Valencia's outside European hopes remain slim.
