Foster: 'I want Moore to stay as Baggies boss'

Goalkeeper Ben Foster says that he would like Darren Moore to be appointed as boss of West Bromwich Albion on a full-time basis.

Goalkeeper Ben Foster has heaped praise on Darren Moore, claiming that the West Bromwich Albion caretaker boss has brought back "unity" at The Hawthorns.

Earlier this month, Moore replaced the outgoing Alan Pardew, and the club's youth coach has recorded eight points from four matches in the Premier League.

The Baggies are still likely to be relegated from the top flight, but Foster wants the West Midlands outfit to give Moore a permanent place in the dugout.

The 35-year-old is quoted by The Telegraph as saying: "Darren has brought a lot more unity back to the team. Mooro has been around the place for a long time, he knows what works with the team and it's a very simple kind of recipe really. The make-up of the team is very similar to what we've had all season, but he's just got us all working for each other and that's about it.

"Mooro has his own style of playing football and that suits us as well. He's steeped in the West Brom tradition. I would like him to get the job, to be honest. He's been absolutely top class and all the players would say exactly the same thing. He's just a real good guy and you just want to work for him and do the best you can for him."

Saturday's 1-0 win over Newcastle United has resulted in Moore being placed as favourite to get the job on a full-time basis by the majority of bookmakers.
