Sam Allardyce promises West Ham United changes

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce promises to play a number of younger players during tonight's Capital One Cup tie against Burnley.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has promised to field a number of younger players during tonight's Capital One Cup tie at Burnley.

The Hammers travel to the Championship leaders with a place in the fifth round at stake.

Following his side's goalless draw with Swansea City in the Premier League on the weekend, Allardyce is eager to rotate his squad against the high-flying Clarets.

"There's every chance the squad will be used," he told the club's official website.

"Some of the younger players will get a first game in the first team and test their ability to see whether they can play at this level."

West Ham reached the third round of last season's competition before they were knocked out by Wigan Athletic.
